Scenario:

A passionate cranking lady like this is really rare.

Carina is trying to start this old '84 VW Beetle.

Right at the beginning of the clip, she talks to the camera, saying she calls it 'Laura' and that she would miss the failed starting attempts if the engine started immediately. But this morning it’s especially chilly, combined with very high humidity. Watch Carina during her morning starting attempts. She’s wearing different pairs of shoes and boots at times. Enjoy along with her how nicely the starter sounds.

After a while, the engine even starts after several long attempts, but keeps stalling slowly. Carina smiles contentedly.

But in reality, she’s quite nervous and hopes the engine will start soon since she has to get to work at the office. She appears increasingly impatient and desperate. All the scenes shown in the clip appear briefly in the preview.

These recordings were made in 2002 with an old camera.
